At the Grove! Lisa Kudrow on 'Who Do You Think You Are?'

February 01, 2012 At the Grove

Actress Lisa Kudrow headed to The Grove to talk with "Extra" correspondent Renee Bargh about the upcoming third season of her show, "Who Do You Think You Are?"

"We'll take a celebrity for a week and trace their genealogy," explained Kudrow. "It's very compelling, many dramatic stories."

For example, Hollywood A-lister Blair Underwood finds out who his ancestors were. Kudrow said, "African-American history can be really difficult with the wall of slavery, but we were able to find documents and trace it back. This one ancestor was actually in a newspaper article and his life ended in a mental institution... there's a lot more in that story."

The NBC show premieres Wednesday, following Martin Sheen as he finds his roots - behind bars. Kudrow detailed, "He's a very principled man and speaks up for social justice and will even go to jail for it if he has to and that trait seems to go back in his family."
