'X Factor' Elimination: No Tears This Time
"The X Factor" contestant Marcus Canty's luck finally ran out.
After three weeks of singing for his survival, the performer was eliminated in the semi-finals - but he kept a very positive attitude about it.
"Trust me, this is not the last time you will see Marcus Canty," Canty vowed.
The night before, Canty performed "I'll Make Love to You" by Boyz II Men and a dance version of "Careless Whisper" by George Michael and Wham. Watch the performance!
Mentor L.A. Reid said he'd "be lying" if he said he "wasn't a little sad," admitting he'd felt a particular connection to Canty. But, he said, Canty is a "major star, a great singer" and had his support, which is not nothing coming from an industry mover and shaker like him.
Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik will move onto the finals next week on "The X Factor."
