Chaz Bono Reveals His 'DWTS' Pick

November 22, 2011 At the Grove

Controversial "Dancing with the Stars" alum Chaz Bono paid a visit to The Grove and revealed he is rooting for "J.R., but it could be anybody's game." Bono, who was eliminated from the competition series last month, said, "Everybody's coming back for the finale."

The transgender advocate recently appeared on Howard Stern's radio show, where he expressed interest in hosting a talk show. Chaz explained, "Actually, somebody tweeted me this idea of me, J.R. (Martinez), David (Arquette), and Carson (Kressley) doing something together. And I just thought, 'What an interesting group of guys we all are, this could be really good.'"

Chaz's gender reassignment process began in 2008, and in 2010 he was officially recognized by the State of California as a man. His life-altering journey will be shown in part two of his documentary, "Becoming Chaz," airing Sunday on OWN. Bono opened up about the emotional roller coaster his mom Cher experienced, saying, "It was hard for my mom in the beginning, but since having all this controversy came at me, my mom's really been championing me."

Mario asked about shaving, saying, "If I had it up to me, I would not want to shave." Chaz replied, "If you waited forty years, you'd kind of feel different [about it]. Like when your beard started growing as a teenager, you were probably pretty excited."

Lopez smiled, "You'll get over it."

Watch the one-hour special, airing Nov. 27 at 8 PM on OWN.
