Rick Ross to Perform Despite Suffering Seizures

October 15, 2011 On the Mend

Rapper Rick Ross is reportedly in a stable condition -- and ready to perform -- after suffering from two seizures in one day.

According to TMZ, Ross - whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II - was scheduled to do a show for a University of Memphis basketball event Friday. On the flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing when Ross lost mid-consciousness on board.

Later, Ross was reportedly feeling better and tweeted, "Memphis here I come" and uploaded a video of himself boarding a new flight.

On the second flight, however, Ross suffered another seizure, and the private jet had to land in Birmingham, where the rapper received treatment at a hospital.

Ross is slated to perform at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina as part of homecoming at North Carolina A&T State University Saturday. An employee at the venue told TMZ that Ross' people called to confirm that he is doing better and will be on stage as planned.
