The reality wedding extravaganza of the year between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will take place under tight security at a $20-million Montecito estate on Saturday. The tents are up and private helicopters will patrol the skies during the grand celebration, which is being compared to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The 500+ A-list guests will wear black or white, the bridesmaids green, and Kim is said to have three different Vera Wang gowns on hand. She will also reportedly dye her natural brunette locks a bit darker to look "timeless."
So how much is this $10-million dream wedding costing the Kardashians? According to The Hollywood Reporter's Leslie Bruce, the entrepreneurial reality family will most likely make money from the nuptials.
Kim, 30, reportedly pocketed $50,000 from Tao nightclub in Las Vegas for hosting her bachelorette party there. Bruce Jenner, Kim's stepdad, is said to have negotiated a $1.5-million deal with a magazine for exclusive rights to the wedding photos.
The lucky vendors involved in Kim's special day are discounting or giving their products/services for free, and in return, "get mass exposure of just an astronomical level," Leslie explains.
Here is a breakdown of the vendors giving Kim and Kris their goodies for free, or at a discount, in exchange for publicity, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
* Invitations by Lehr & Black: $10,000
* Kris Jenner's facelift: $50,000
* Las Vegas bachelorette party penthouse pad at the Palazzo: $2,000 per night
* 3 Vera Wang Wedding Gowns: $20,000 each
* $2-Million Engagement Ring by Lorraine Schwartz: given to Kris Humphries for a fraction of the cost
The blessed union between Kim and Kris will take place this Saturday, and the four-hour special will air on October 9 and 10 on E!.
