Paula Abdul on the Mariah Carey 'X Factor' Rumors

"Extra" caught up with "The X Factor" judge Paula Abdul at the FOX TCA party, dishing on the rumor Mariah Carey may join the show as a mentor, and confirming the real reason Simon Cowell wasn't able to attend.

"I'm not gonna lie. He's having fun on a yacht while we're supporting his show," laughed Abdul.

As for Mariah's guest appearance on "The X Factor," Abdul said, "It will be a blessing if she is," and hinted, "there are several other amazing people that are going to be joining."

Abdul's co-judge Nicole Scherzinger concurred, "We could learn a lot from her!"
