At the BETs: Drake on Rihanna, Kelly Rowlands on Destiny's Child
"Extra's" AJ Calloway and special correspondent Julissa Bermudez caught up with Drake, Kelly Rowlands and Justin Bieber on the red carpet at the 2011 BET Awards Sunday, where they talked dating rumors, reunions and collaborations.
Drake responded to rumors about a possible romance with Rihanna, after photos surfaced of the two of them getting close at recent events, telling Calloway, "We were just in the same place. It was just like a one isolated time with a lot of photos from that one time."
Beyonce's performance, broadcast live from the Glasonbury Music Festival, was one of the highlights of the show, but rivaled by fellow Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland, who performed a steamy number with Trey Songz.
On recent reports Destiny's Child may reunite, Rowlands said they are all focusing on their solo careers at the moment, but are always supportive of each other. "You know that would be something that would come up naturally if we talk about it. But we haven't brought it up."
Justin Bieber would love to see a Destiny's Child reunion. The young singer gushed about his crush on superstar Beyonce, saying "It's always been Beyonce," pointing to the group's hit song "Jumpin, Jumpin" as one of his favorites. Would he like to do collaborate? "Maybe how Michael Jackson did that song with Diana Ross... maybe something like that."
