June 17, 2011 Awards Shows

Following in her mother's fashionable footsteps, Katie Holmes said her 5-year-old daughter Suri already has an impressive collection of shoes. When "Extra's" Renee Bargh asked who has the bigger footwear closet, the actress replied, "I hope that she always has more shoes. That's the right thing." Katie added that she and Suri have a "mutual love" of fashion.

The actress stepped out in a stunning Max Mara number with a brand new $15K accessory on her finger at the star-studded 2011 Crystal and Lucy Awards in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

The event honored Holmes as "The Face of the Future." The 32-year-old, who arrived without husband Tom, told Bargh, "I am so excited to be a woman in Hollywood today. I'm very excited to be in this room full of so many amazing women."

The A-list crowd of ladies included Annette Bening, Geena Davis, Elle Fanning and Cote De Pablo -- who said, "Very few times you actually get to do this... so this is a treat."

Holmes revealed that her mother has been the most positive role model in her life, recalling, "When I told them at the age of 16 that I wanted to come to Hollywood, they gave me a big hug and said, 'We support you.'"
