Reality star Kim Kardashian stopped by "The Tonight Show" on Tuesday and chatted with Jay Leno about her engagement to Kris Humphries... and her gargantuan 20.5 carat engagement ring. Jay questioned the authenticity of the jewel. "If it burns, it's not real, it's cubic," adding, "If it's fake, Mr. Humphries has some explaining to do."

Kim hesitantly handed over the ring to Leno, who placed it in a small metal holder and lit a match. The ring lit up immediately and turned black.

Of course, the experiment was just a hoax. After the ring was scorched, the talk show host said, "That's not good. Get a prenup."
