Reality star Kim Kardashian is engaged to Kris Humphries, her New Jersey Nets boyfriend of six months, reports People.

Kim walked into her Beverly Hills home last Wednesday to find Humphries waiting for her in her bedroom on one knee with a question written in red rose petals: "Will you marry me?"

Kardashian tells People, "I didn't expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Kris, 26, proposed with an enormous 20.5-carat custom-designed Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring. "I just knew I wanted it to be big," Humphries said. The romantic proposal was planned with the help of Kim's mom, Kris Jenner.

Although the basketball star didn't want a big celebration, he joked to Kim's mom they should get a few mini-horses. Kim beamed, "Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two-mini horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!"

Kim's sisters Khloe and Kourtney took to Twitter to express their joy and excitement. Khloe tweeted, "Kimmie I love you so much!!!! I would do anything in the world for you!!! Seeing you happy in your life makes me smile daily!"

Kourtney's tweet read, "YES everyone! It's true! KimKardashian is engaged! AND KhloeKardashian you are such a copycat! Find your own phrase lol. CELEBRATE!"
