LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman said in a statement, "Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department are responding to home of actor Charlie Sheen to investigate the possible violation of a temporary restraining order that was filed against him March 1."

Apparently, police were responding to a claim there were weapons in Sheen's home, which violates the restraining order filed by Sheen's ex-wife, Brooke Mueller. TMZ reports Sheen had threatened to harm himself. No 911 call was made.

The actor himself tweeted during the incident. "#fastball: all good here on homefront. all reports are false. I'll explain more very soon. #Dogspeed"

Authorities said the actor was cooperative. There was no immediate information on how many weapons, if any, were taken from the home.

Sheen tweeted again, "#fastball; the LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!! c"
