Lifechangers: Erin Andrews Urges Early Detection for Prostate Cancer

February 17, 2011 Lifechangers

ESPN reporter turned "Extra" Lifechanger Erin Andrews talked about her father's recent battle with prostate cancer -- and how early detection is the key.

"I'm so thankful he caught it early," Andrews explained to "Extra." "I don't want any other family to have to deal with that!"

Now Andrews and her dad, Steve, are on a mission to spread the word about this silent killer, joining the On the Line Initiative to motivate other men to take charge of their health.

"They need to start talking about it," Andrews pointed out. "We're so comfortable talking about breast cancer."
