Paula Abdul Talks 'X Factor,' 'Idol' with 'Extra'
"Live to Dance" mentor Paula Abdul stopped by The Grove to chat with "Extra's" Jerry Penacoli about her show's season finale, and whether she'll do "The X Factor," plus her thoughts on the new "American Idol" crew.
First, will she be a judge on her old pal Simon Cowell's "The X Factor"? Cowell has told "Extra" she is still in consideration, but Abdul danced around the question. "Right now I'm concentrating on the finale of 'Live to Dance.'"
The singer/dancer is very excited about the talent she saw on her show. "Oh, my gosh, it's just a culmination of unbelievably unique ability and talent. And one act's gonna win $500,000!"
As for the new "American Idol" judges, Abdul commented, "They look like they're having a blast. It's a nice rework, I think."
Abdul laughed when she was told both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have been compared to her. "Are they unpredictable?" she asked Penacoli, who responded, "Not as unpredictable as you." Abdul laughed, "I guess I'll have that award for the rest of my life!"
The season finale of "Live to Dance" airs tonight at 8:00 PM on CBS.
