Fresh from rehab, Lindsay Lohan is embroiled in yet another controversy, this time surrounding a stolen necklace.

Miss Lohan claims she was given permission by the owner of Kamofie & Company to take the necklace on loan. Surveillance video has no audio, so it is can neither disprove nor support Lohan's claim, but the business owner reportedly claims she saw the necklace on Lohan in paparazzi photos, and did not "loan" the item.

An assistant to Lohan turned the necklace over to police before her house could be searched, leading some to believe that Lindsay had been tipped off to the possibility of a search warrant.

If Lindsay is found guilty of stealing the $2,500 necklace, she could end up back in the slammer for violating her probation, but it will be difficult to prove that she did not have the necklace as part of a "loan" in the way that stylists often provide items for celebrity clients.
