SAG Winner Claire Danes Flying High... in Coach

January 30, 2011 Awards Shows

Actress Claire Danes, who won the Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries, confessed she had to catch a red-eye flight back to the New York set of her upcoming Showtime series "Homeland" -- and she's doing it the normal way.

"I'm flying tonight on coach," Danes told "Extra's" Adrianna Costa backstage at the SAGs. "I know, I know I feel like I'm bragging now at this point. It's the only seat available, and I have to go back to work tomorrow morning. I get to shower in the hotel and then I go to set -- and act some more. We'll see how tomorrow's scene will be."

Danes laughed she was just "moaning and groaning" about her red-eye story to fellow SAG winner Alec Baldwin. Would she ever want to do "30 Rock"? "Oh god, if they would have me, are you kidding? That would be rad! I love that show."

As for her husband, actor Hugh Dancy, Danes beamed, "He is insanely supportive. We were kind of joking. I just wanted him to come up with me to the podium with a stopwatch 'cause the time thing, it's very stressful."
