America Misty-Eyed for 'American Idol's' Chris Medina
Wednesday's "Idol" auditions in Milwaukee introduced America to Season 10's first fan favorite, Chris Medina, whose breakout performance and story left viewers reaching for a tissue.
Chris and girlfriend Juliana have been together for eight years and engaged for almost three. Just two months before walking down the aisle, Juliana was the victim of a horrific car accident which left her with a traumatic brain injury.
"What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed me the most?" Medina said. Now he and Juliana's mother are her primary caretakers.
Fulfilling a dream, Chris auditioned for "Idol" singing a heartbreakingly beautiful rendition of The Script's "Break Even" -- which he clearly sang to the love of his life, Juliana.
