The Official Royal Engagement Portraits

Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton have chosen to release two official portrait photographs to mark their engagement.

The photographs were taken by photographer Mario Testino in St James's Palace, London. Testino said, "I am very happy to have been asked to cover this historic moment that the whole world was waiting for. They are in their prime and brimming with happiness. I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together."

The couple are set to be married April 29, 2011 in London's Westminster Abbey.
