Joel Madden: Nicole Richie and I 'Couldn't Work Together'

They're marrying on Saturday, so Joel Madden and Nicole Richie work well together as parents and as a couple, but Madden told "Extra's" Mario Lopez they'll never make beautiful music together, at least not the literal kind.

The celebutante does sing, but her Good Charlotte baby daddy says that collaborating on a song is out of the question. "No way! We couldn't work together," Madden said. "It'd be a disaster."

The couple is set to wed at the home of Lionel Richie in Beverly Hills, with a winter-themed ceremony. A stage is being built over the pool for dancing, and tents have been erected on the property. It is reportedly going to be a very small wedding.

Richie, 29, and Madden, 31, have been together for almost four years and have two children; Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 1.
