Barbra Streisand is MusiCares Person of the Year
Singer, actress, director and recording superstar Barbra Streisand will be honored as the 2011 MusiCares "Person of the Year" at a special event to be held Feb. 11, 2011, celebrating her exceptional artistic achievements and her extraordinary philanthropic work.
The glittering evening, to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will be filled with performances from Grammy-winning artists, including Tony Bennett, Donna Summer, Stevie Wonder, Diana Krall, and "Glee" stars, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Kristin Chenoweth and Darren Criss.
La Streisand will close the evening with her own special performance.
Proceeds from the annual "Person of the Year" tribute provide essential support for MusiCares, which ensures that aspiring musicians have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need.
