Oprah and Whoopi, BFFs Again
On a special "Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday, the talk show host reunited her co-stars from the 1985 Oscar-winning film "The Color Purple" -- and addressed her longtime misunderstanding with actress and "View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
Choking up during the interview, Oprah told the story of how Whoopi cleared up the rumors that the two didn't get along.
"Whoopi came up to me and she said, can I just ask you something? Really. She said, can I just ask you something?" Oprah recalled. "Did I do something to you? And I said -- I said, what are you talking about? She says, all these years, you know, we've been disconnected and I just want to know, did I do something? I said, all these years I thought you were mad at me."
