Bristol Palin: 'I Really Did Think It Was Gonna Be Us'

November 03, 2010 Dancing With The Stars

Single mom activist Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas made it through another week on "Dancing with the Stars," even though they received the lowest scores of the night.

"I really did think it was gonna be us," she told "Extra" special correspondent Tony Dovolani. "Just 'cause we had the lowest scores."

Gearing up for next week's Viennese Waltz, Palin said, "I'm here now and I'm gonna continue to grow as a dancer."

Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke scored their highest score ever, but were sent packing. "It's been a joyful seven weeks, an unfortunate end too soon," said the basketball star.

Excited to spend more time with girlfriend Eliza Dushku, Fox told "Extra," "This is the first time in 18 months that we've spent this much time away from each other, and you can develop a greater sense of trust, a greater communication."

Watch the "DWTS" contestants reactions to Rick Fox's elimination!

Tune in Monday for week 8 of "Dancing with the Stars."
