Mariah Carey: 'I'm Not Going to Impose Pink on a Girl'

November 02, 2010 Television

On Tuesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show," Mariah Carey was excited to talk openly about being pregnant. She said she doesn't plan on decorating the nursery in traditional pink or blue to go with the baby's gender.

"I'm not going to impose pink on a girl," Carey said to Ellen. "Do you think I'm really going to go that hard with it? That's how you get the exact opposite."

DeGeneres joked with the singer, who is still unaware of her unborn child's sex, saying, "When that baby comes out, you're going to have high heels on it, like, immediately... little, tiny high heel shoes on that baby."
