Jessica Simpson Rockin' What She's Got
Singer Jessica Simpson isn't so worried about her self-esteem anymore. She's confident with her body -- and she's in love.
"I feel as if I'm committed at the moment," Simpson guardedly gushed to "Extra" about her boyfriend, NFL player Eric Johnson. "There's no better feeling than that. I love a relationship where it's give and take and brings out the best in each other. It's great to have a healthy relationship. He can support me, and it's not like he doesn't know anything about that to where it would ruin our relationship."
"Extra" Special Correspondent Katherine Schwarzenegger talked with Simpson at the 2010 Women's Conference about body image, after struggling with it herself, which she detailed in her new book, "Rock What You've Got."
Simpson eloquently confessed that dealing publicly with her weight issues has been a "pain in the butt."
She admitted, "Nobody wants to hear somebody talk about their weight every week. It took a little bit for me to get over everything that I went through with the media. But standing up for myself and standing up for women has really empowered me to be a better person."
And if there were one powerful woman she'd like to be, Simpson replied, "I would be Dolly Parton, because somehow no one knows anything about her personal life."
