"The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart mocked former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez Saturday, as he hosted Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars."

Sanchez was fired from his CNN job Friday, following a radio interview in which he called Stewart a "bigot" and said CNN and other media were run by "people like him."

At the "Stars" podium, Stewart joked in his opening monologue, "If you went on radio and said the Jews control the media...you may want to hold on to your money," adding, "All he has to do is apologize to us, and we'll hire him back."

Even David Letterman got in on the fun, making a surprise appearance at the New York event, cracking that he was just "helping Rick Sanchez clean out his office."

The "Night of Too Many Stars" raises money for autistic children and will air on Comedy Central on Oct. 21.
