It's Family Night Out for Diane Lane

"Secretariat" star Diane Lane showed up at the film's L.A. premiere with the whole family, including hubby Josh Brolin and their kids.

I'm gonna go join them and give them a hug," she told "Extra" on the red carpet. "They're here to support me and that means the world to me."

Lane is getting Oscar buzz for her performance as real-life housewife Penny Chenery, who owned and trained the famed '70s Triple Crown-winning horse. She said of the talk, "I don't know what to say to that except to say -- oh boy! That's a compliment and that'll do nicely."

And what's her beauty secret? "I think you can't replace good old-fashioned beauty rest, which I plan on catching up with very soon!"

"Secretariat" gallops into theaters Oct. 8.
