Tiki Barber's Mistress Defends Relationship
The woman at the center of former New York Giants star Tiki Barber's scandalous breakup is speaking out.
Traci Johnson, 23, spoke to "Extra" about rumors she had an affair with Tiki, 35, while his wife Ginny was pregnant with twin girls.
The former NBC intern, who met Tiki when he was a "Today" show correspondent, told us that she and Barber didn't start dating until January -- after he and his wife separated.
"Tiki and I were dating well before the rumors came out," Johnson said of the news that broke in April. "His soon-to-be ex-wife knew about that. She knew we were together."
The footballer and his wife were married 11 years and have two sons, 7 and 6. Ginny reportedly heard about the affair last year after the running back moved out of their Upper East Side home.
Johnson defended herself, saying, "While people say I could have waited until he was divorced, it just seemed like an opportunity was there, and Tiki's the first to say opportunities are seldom perfect."
