Is Chris Isaak the Final Piece in the 'Idol' Judge Puzzle?

August 25, 2010 Music

As one of people being considered as an "American Idol" judge, singer Chris Isaak has a few ideas on how he'd do the job.

"When I went in to interview with them, I said 'Can we actually physically reprimand people for bad performances?' They said 'Chris, no, it's just a TV show,' Isaak told "Extra's" Lauren Sanchez at a sound check for his Tuesday concert at L.A.'s Greek Theater. "That kind of let me down right there."

The crooner also had some ideas on how the judges should interact. "I proposed this to them -- and they never got back to me -- but I said that maybe J.Lo could be a judge, and I wouldn't talk as much as I would rub butter on her."
