Report: Larry King's Wife Attempted Suicide
Shawn King, the wife of CNN talk show host Larry King, may have indeed tried to kill herself on May 28, evident in the police report just released.
The report obtained by "Extra" states authorities found a handwritten note by Shawn, stating she had "intentionally taken the pills." Another note said she wanted to be buried in Utah. Read the report here.
Shawn's father placed the 911 call after trying to revive his daughter. He said, "I slap her and I holler at her and she opens her eyes half way and puts them back down again."
Emergency workers found several empty prescription bottles -- among them, Ambien and anti-anxiety meds.
Shawn had battled a prescription drug addiction in the past, and "Extra" Lifechanger Dr. Drew Pinsky says he believes it's "already considered a relapse."
Meanwhile, Larry has visited his wife in the hospital, who is now recovering."We shall go through this difficult time intact, as a family," King told "Extra."
