Bret Michaels Would Be 'Honored' to Do 'Idol'

June 01, 2010 Exclusive

At first it was only a suggestion, but rocker Bret Michaels might actually be one of the frontrunners to replace Simon Cowell as the new "American Idol" judge.

"Everyone keeps asking me about it and hinting around about it," Michaels told "Extra" backstage at his concert in Biloxi. "I tell ya what, I'd be honored to do it! If there's one thing I can do, I feel like I can really give great advice to a lot of young musicians."

Michaels also comments on Gary Coleman's death of a similar brain hemorrhage that affected the singer. Read here!

There was also talk of Michaels doing "Dancing with the Stars."

"Once they saw me actually move around on a stage, they've never asked me again," Michaels joked. "Nobody, and I mean nobody, wants to see me dance, except for comic value."
