Paula Abdul's Life After 'Idol'
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with Paula Abdul to get the scoop on what life has been like for her since her departure from "American Idol."
"I'm doing great. I really am," Paula told AJ on the set of Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva," where she is making her third guest appearance.
When asked if she was going to be a judge on Simon Cowell's "X-Factor," Paula purposefully dodged the question. "That's so cute," she said, pointing at a dog. "It's like my Chihuahua. Did I tell you I was gonna buy a new Chihuahua?"
The former "Idol" judge clearly wouldn't answer the "X-Factor" question, but said she believes she and Simon will "absolutely" work together again someday.

Paula also tells "Extra" she's happy for Cowell's engagement, but as for any relationship advice she has to offer, she joked, "Oh right, like first I'm gonna give him relationship advice and second, like he's gonna take it."
Abdul reveals that her "Idol" frenemy used to meddle in her love life. Simon "used to scare any potential date I'd have. He'd walk up to them just thinking they might ask me out and say 'Go do me a favor, just don't, ha ha'."
