Brad Pitt's Brother Appointed Goodwill Ambassador

Doug Pitt, younger brother of actor Brad Pitt, was named Goodwill Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania by the country's President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete on Monday.

Brad was supposed to attend the tribute dinner, but was stuck in Europe due to the volcanic ash from Iceland's volcanic eruption.

President Kikwete said in a statement, "He is natural in a sense that he is a person that has been to the country, knows the country and loves the people. We are quite confident that he is going to do the job that he's expected to do and he's going to do it very well."

Doug is a photojournalist and director of Africa 6000 International, a charity that supplies fresh water to Africa.
