James Van Der Beek Up Creek in Divorce Settlement

"Dawson's Creek" and "Mercy" star James Van Der Beek is finalizing his divorce from actress Heather Ann McComb, but it's going to be a costly split for the actor.

In a divorce settlement filed Monday in a Los Angeles court, it was revealed that Van Der Beek will pay McComb $7,750 per month until Dec. 2012, People.com reports. The actor's monthly income is $35,000, compared with McComb's income of $1,750 a month.

The papers also state that Van Der Beek will keep their residence and all residuals from his work.

The two, who have no children together, were married in 2003 and separated last April.

Van Der Beek will next be seen in the feature film "The Big Bang."
