Brangelina Visits Iraqi Refugees
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt visited Iraqi refugees in Syria today -- and their meeting quickly turned emotional.
Angie sat down with Hoda, a woman who shared her story about surviving kidnapping and assault. "I'm grateful to you for sharing this story," an emotional Jolie told her. "It helps to make it easier to understand your problems. There's a lot of suffering in this part of the world; you're a very brave and strong woman for putting this behind you for the sake of your children."
The superstar couple also visited other victims of kidnap and torture, and their families.
Brangelina visited Syria in hopes of making lives better for refugees and their children. Angie met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his wife, Asma al-Assad, to discuss how the government could aid the refugees by providing them with health care and education.
Both Angelina, 34, and Brad, 45, have been recognized for their local, national and international humanitarian efforts.
