September 17, 2009 Music

Overnight sensation Susan Boyle made her US television debut on the finale of "America's Got Talent."

The Scottish songbird performed the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and briefly mentioned her hospitalization.

In a prerecorded segment before her performance, Boyle confessed, "I've never felt so tired. I look back at it now and it was a necessity because I was tired." Things are looking on the bright side now. "I used to be a spectator looking out at the world, but now I'm part of that world."

Boyle became a household name after her stunning rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" on "Britain's Got Talent." The 48-year-old finished in second place, behind dance troupe Diversity.

Her highly anticipated album drops November 24.
