Malia Obama recently finished fifth grade -- and the producers of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" wanted the First Daughter to show off her intellect on the show!

According to the NY Post, the producers extended the invitation to Malia, but President Obama and First Lady Michelle nixed the idea. "Unfortunately, Malia politely declined the invitation as it interfered with her school schedule."

Miss Obama, 10, will enter sixth grade in the fall.
