Duff to 'Gossip Girl'

Former Disney darling Hilary Duff is joining the cast of "Gossip Girl."

EW.com reports the 21 year old will appear on the CW hit for several episodes, in which Duff will play Olivia Burke, a famous starlet who wants to live the "normal" college-life. Olivia is enrolled at New York University with Blair (Leighton Meester), Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). Plus, Olivia will be roomies with Vanessa.

Hilary will debut in this season's fourth episode, set to air October 5.
