Jon and Kate in Happier Times
Before the Gosselins let TLC cameras into their home, Jon and Kate were "the couple that people always said were sickeningly sweet." In a clip from "Jon and Kate Plus 8," the parents talk about meeting in 1997 -- and back then they couldn't keep their hands off each other!
Kate says she had a thing for bay boys before she settled down. Before Jon met his future wife he admits, "I was doing nothing with myself. No career, I worked at a ski slope... I didn't have any goals. I didn't want to get married, didn't want to have kids. Just bumming around, doing what I wanted to do."
When the reality TV twosome met, Jon had a girlfriend but "she was gone the next day." Kate also adds the relationship became serious after one day.
The couple have recently been under fire for cheating. Jon allegedly had an affair with a 23-year-old teacher, Deanna Hummel. The new issue of Us Weekly reports Kate has also been unfaithful with her married bodyguard Steve Neild.
