Brangelina to NYC?

Angelina Jolie -- sans her six kids and Brad Pitt -- was spotted scoping out apartments in New York City, sparking rumors that the first couple of Hollywood is heading east!

The actress, 33, recently signed a lease on a $60-million mansion in Long Island, where she is set to film the thriller "Salt" in upcoming months. Angie was spotted looking at an apartment in Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood on Tuesday.

"The building had work permits and it seemed like they were probably being remodeled for [buyers'] taste," a source dished to Us Weekly. "The building is pretty fancy. It's really nice." The onlooker added that Jolie was in good spirits, waving hello to photographers.

Angie and partner Brad Pitt are both nominated for Academy Awards, with the show airing Sunday at 5 PM PST on ABC.
