Former flames Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake ran into each other at Yatai Asian Tapas Bar in WeHo -- making for an awkward dinner!

One eyewitness told Us Weekly that the eatery was "so small, like the size of a living room," and the situation was "uncomfortable." Justin was enjoying a meal with longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel, when the pop princess walked in around 10 PM with her mom, Lynne.

"Jessica and Justin looked to be slumping down in their seats to avoid Spears. Britney left 30 minutes later," another diner told the mag. "Shortly afterward, Justin and Jessica got in their car and left."

Spears recently announced she was moving into a new L.A. area home, writing on Twitter, "I just took my babies to our new home and they loved it! I can't wait to move in."
