Edwards' Mistress in 911 Scare

A terrified Rielle Hunter dialed 911 while being trailed by shutterbugs eager to snap pix of Hunter and the baby girl rumored to be John Edwards' love child.

"I'm being followed by the paparazzi and it's extremely dangerous," Hunter told a dispatcher from her car. "I have a small child in the car with me." She adds, "They are trying to prove someone is the father of my baby, whose not, and they've been harassing me!"

After her terrifying road trip, Rielle jetted out of the States -- toward a secret destination.
