Daniel Day-Lewis and Julie Christie Take Top Acting Honors

January 27, 2008 Awards Shows

Daniel Day-Lewis beat out George Clooney and took home Best Actor in a star-studded SAG awards ceremony that gave a serious boost to a sagging awards season.

With a waiver from the WGA, the stars brought the glitz and glamour back to the red carpet despite a downpour outside the Shrine Auditorium in L.A.

Acting legend Julie Christie beat out Angelina Jolie for Best Actress, while "No Country For Old Men" took the Best Picture honors.
