Marie Osmond: On the Record about Her Painful Divorce
Marie Osmond is opening up for the first time about her heartbreaking shattered marriage.
“Life is difficult, you know? I mean, it’s not like this was a spontaneous decision, it’s been 20 years,” Osmond revealed. “And everybody’s fine, we’re doing good.”
The mother of eight was on “iVillage Live” Tuesday morning to talk about her Children’s Miracle Network, but talk soon turned to her sensational split.
The personal talk, however, apparently went a little too far, when Marie refused to talk further about the divorce.
Osmond, who is best known for her brother-sister act with Donny Osmond, revealed that her famous brothers have been her support system.
“I said it must be hard being married to me. And they said, ‘Marie, maybe the Marie Osmond.’ But my little brother said, ‘Marie, being married to you is a piece of cake,’” she shared.
So what caused the marriage to collapse?
In a joint statement to “Extra,” Marie and her soon-to-be-ex, Brian Blosil, denied any infidelity, stating, “Our marriage has always been a faithful one, and neither of us is assigning fault for the divorce.”
After splitting once before in 2000, it appears that this time the breakup is for good.
