Katie Couric: Fighting the Fight against Colon Cancer

The lovable news anchor was back on the morning airwaves Wednesday, hitting the “Early Show” and using her celebrity status to promote colon cancer prevention.

The disease took Couric’s husband, Jay Monahan’s, life nine years ago, and Katie has since dedicated much of her time to promoting awareness.

We are sharing a glimpse of Katie’s crusade, as “Extra” takes you there.
